Data-driven confidence for every surgical decision.
Arthro ID is building Knee ID, a pre-operative digital twin for total knee replacement. It plans the patellofemoral joint at the same time as the tibiofemoral one, rather than leaving it until the knee is already open.
Knee ID is under development. It is not CE marked under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, has not been cleared by the US FDA, and is not available for sale. Nothing on this site is an offer to supply a medical device.

Product
Knee ID is our first product. It plans a total knee replacement, and it treats the patellofemoral joint as part of that plan rather than an afterthought.
Of everything that goes into a knee replacement, the patella is still the part surgeons can predict least well. Most planning software concentrates on the tibiofemoral joint and leaves the patella to be sorted out once the knee is open.
Knee ID builds a model of the patient's own knee from their scans and keeps both joints in view throughout. You can see what an implant position does before you cut.
Because both joints sit in the same model, the trade-off between them becomes something you can measure rather than something you find out about afterwards. That is what takes the mystery out of the forgotten joint.
Knee ID is software. It helps the surgical team plan the operation beforehand and never touches the patient.
We develop under a quality management system aligned to ISO 13485. Design controls and traceability have been in place since the first line of code.
We process imaging data under GDPR. Our privacy statement is available in three languages.
Team
The surgeons on this team still operate. The engineers sit with them while the planning gets done. That is more or less how the product gets decided.
